Kingdom: Tamashii no Kessen (キングダム 魂の決戦), internationally known as Kingdom: The Decisive Battle of Souls, is the fifth installment in the blockbuster live-action Kingdom film series. Directed by Shinsuke Sato, the movie continues the adaptation of Yasuhisa Hara's best-selling historical manga and brings one of the manga's most dramatic story arcs to the big screen.
Storyline
Three years after the devastating Battle of Bayou, Shin has grown into a commander of one thousand soldiers and continues pursuing his dream of becoming the greatest general under the heavens.
Meanwhile, the State of Qin faces its greatest crisis. Under the brilliant strategy of Riboku (Li Mu), the remaining six rival states form a massive coalition army of nearly 500,000 soldiers to invade Qin. Facing only around 200,000 troops, Qin stands on the brink of destruction.
To defend the kingdom, Shin joins fellow young commanders Mouten and Ouhon at the legendary Kankoku Pass. They fight alongside Qin's greatest generals, including Ouki's successors and legendary military leaders, in a desperate battle that will determine whether Qin survives or disappears from history.
